Keep the playful and vibrant spirit of summer throughout
the year! Owl and Birdie will cheer you up no matter the
season or weather.

With a key chain on top, these toys make adorable bag
charms. An optional decorative tassel or additional key
chain may be attached to Bird’s loop “feet”.

Both toys are worked in continuous rounds of single crochet.

Small features (eyes, beak and tail) are created with a
smaller hook.

The Owl is worked from the bottom up with a whipstitch
seam on top. Sew-on eyes are crocheted in the round, beak
is embroidered. The Bird is worked top down as one piece,
with ribbed tail worked back and forth in turned rows directly
from the body. Sew-on beak is worked in the spiral. Safety
eyes can be adorned with embroidered lids.

Work in continuous (spiral) rounds. Do not join, do not turn
at the beginning of new round. Use stitch marker to track
completed rounds.

Beg ch-1 does not count as SC throughout.

Tail is worked directly from Body bottom seam, lengthwise
in turned rows. Crochet as tightly as possible, to create firm
stiff texture.
