Cuff
Join in the round, using small circular needles or 4 double pointed needles.
k1, p1 for about 44 rows, or until cuff is the length you desire. 10cm cuff length can be folded over to give extra cosy wrists, or extra long cuff.

mitt (thumb and fingerless)
Row 1: knit one round
Row 2: p1, k1 x 20st (moss stitch on back of mitt), knit x20 (palm of mitt)
Row 3 k1, p1 x20st, knit x20st
Repeat rows 2 and 3 x1
Rows 6-17: Back of mitt moss st for first and last 4 st and follow owl cable pattern owl cablefor middle 12st. Palm of mitt - knit.

Decreases
Row 18 is the last row of the owl cable. Start decreases on palm and back. Palm side k1, ssk, knit to last 3, k2tog, k1. Back of mitt try to follow the moss st pattern. p1 ssk, moss st to last 3 st then p2tog, k1 (or ssp/k2tog to keep in pattern as best as possible). Decrease alternate rows for 4 decreases (until 24st on needles), then decrease every row twice more until 16 st on needles. Put 8 st on 2 needles across top of mitt, and join together using kitchener st. I like the knitted version of this best - see instructions here: https://youtu.be/pJFRI-_EQeA.

Weave in ends.
