This costume consists of three pieces; a hat, a capelet and a pair of spats. Due to the front and back post stitches as well as the crocodile stitch, I would consider this pattern advanced. I try to explain everything as best I can, but if you need further clarification, please feel free to PM me.

Although the pattern was written as though there are only 2 colors used, you can add another color where ever you like. This pattern was written using US standards.

The hat is crocheted from the top down and in the round. The ears, eyes, wings and beak are all created separately and sewn on after the hat is completed.

The capelet and the spats are worked from the bottom up, starting with the feathers.
