Yes they fit and are magnificent, due to firm ribbing and cables. Should you take on this challenge, give it a for a few cable turns, as the ribbing settles down only after 2-3 cables.

Should you have any questions, I would gladly try and do my best to help. The pattern itself is fairly simple, and written down for each row with some images included, so it should be easy to follow.

Also please notice there are several size options for needles, depending on how firm you knit. My work tends to be very firm and tight - you may want to consider bigger/smaller needles.
