I put together this pattern from two techniques I had been practicing: Cabling and Yarn Overs. The pattern starts out with a simple rib, moves into the cabled owls, and ends with a nicely twisted yarn overs that ends with the i-cord. A fun project that doesn’t take too long and is good practice for a few techniques.

This pattern can be adjusted to different sizes, as long as the stitch numbers are divisible by 11, since that’s how many stitches are needed for one owl.

I was able to make most of this pattern on circular needles (“magic loop”), but I finished it on three double sided needles since it was getting too small for the loop, then two needles for the i-cord.

The bead, if you want to use one, should not be anything fragile or weight very much (like solid metals or large stone). I also suggested tiny seed beads for owls eyes
