I’m so excited to release my first pattern! This is a PDF file of step by step instructions to making my adorable Owly Drawstring Backpack. This pattern is easy to adjust to fit your needs perfectly; stripes, no stripes, any color you choose - it’s all up to you how your Owly will look!

Basic crochet terms used - nothing beyond a beginner’s skill level. This would be a perfect first project!

Terms
sl st – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
hdc – half double crochet
dc – double crochet
sc2tog – decrease by single crocheting two stitches together
( ) – repeat around
{ } – total stitch count

Supplies

• medium worsted weight yarn in your choice of color(s) for the owl, as well as a small amount of black and white for the eyes and orange or yellow for the beak
• H - 5.00mm hook
• tapestry needle
• stitch marker
• scissors

Gauge isn’t terribly important for this project

Sizing
One Size, about 10” wide by 12” tall
