A family move to the Gulf Coast inspired me to create this cowl, which is reminiscent of shells across the ocean floor. It is my hope that this pattern will similarly inspire others to celebrate the sea, just as I have enjoyed my nearness to the water in my new home.

The yarn in the picture is my own hand dyed yarn, Pine Sock in Mississippi Storm colorway, which can be purchased at Holly Dyeworks(1). The pattern uses one skein.

Happy Knitting!

Notions:

1 stitch marker
Tapestry needle

Notes:

Because of the nature of the lace pattern the beginning of round and stitch marker will shift in the working of the cowl. Try not to worry and trust the pattern, it will all turn out right in the end.
