A new and unique way of creating a beautiful, textured plaid Cowl.

Do not let my profile photo fool you, I am a country girl from the roots of my pink hair, all the way down to my barefoot piggie toes. I grew up in the harsh winters of Missouri, where anything flannel, Long Johns, and thermal shirts were the absolute staple of surviving the frigid cold. And I absolutely, to this day, love them! I named this pattern after my grandpa, who was never without his plaid, and I must say, I am so proud of this beanie, and have enjoyed the happy childhood memories it has brought to mind.

The stitch that I chose to create this pattern gives the P. Ridge cowl an incredible thermal appearance. The P. Ridge cowl can be made in the plaid as shown or in a solid color, it is gorgeous either way. Perfect for the man, woman, child, anyone in your life, and do not forget yourself!!

Do not let this pattern intimidate you, it is so easy to make a caveman could do it. I put off creating anything plaid for the longest time, because I was intimidated by it, but it is so much easier that I believed. And FUN!!! I loved every crochet minute of it! I think you will too.

I have included links to videos that will teach you the stitches I used to create this pattern. I have also included a photo tutorial to help you with some of the most difficult parts of the pattern. Plus, I have included easy ways to get in touch with me if you need help.

You will need 3 different colors of yarn to complete this pattern, but it should work up with almost any #4 weight yarn you chose to use.

Cowl looks great in plaid or solid colors
Requires an H and J hook, or hook size need to meet gauge
