The P1 Sweater is a simple turtleneck sweater with distinctive ribbed borders. A classic that is suitable for both women and men.

The sweater is worked seamlessly top down. First, the turtleneck is worked, then the neckline is shaped using short rows (working back and forth). Then work is continued in the round and increases for body and sleeves are worked. After completing all raglan increases, the sleeves are separated from the body. The sleeves and body are finished with a wide ribbed border. As the sweater is knitted from top to bottom, it is possible (and advisable) to try it on while knitting, so that the length of the body and sleeves can be adjusted individually.

Techniques used: German Short Rows, left and right leaning inc’s, both knitwise and purlwise.

Measurements
Chest circumference:
97 (102) 106 (110) 117 (124) 134 (142) 151 cm / 38.2 (40.2) 41.7 (43.3) 46 (48.8) 52.8 (55.9) 59.4”
Total length (mid back, without turtleneck): 51 (54) 56 (57) 59 (61) 63 (65) 68 cm / 20 (21.3) 22 (22.4) 23.2 (24) 24.8 (25.6) 26.8”

The sweater should have a positive ease of approx. 10 to 20 cm / 4 – 8”. To find the right size, you should first measure your chest circumference. Depending on your preference, you can then decide whether you want the sweater to be loose and oversized, with plenty of positive ease, or more form-fitting. Sometimes it is advisable to measure another favorite sweater to find the right size.
