The idea for this shawl came to me while sitting outside my home in the Monadnock Valley of New Hampshire. When you live in a valley the days can be hot, but the nights are often crisp and cool. This worsted weight shawl is just right for throwing over your shoulders in the evening or early morning while enjoying the fresh mountain air. The textured section of this shawl reminds me of rough mountain terrain, and the eyelet portion brings to mind hidden berry patches scattered along the trails.
