Penguins are playful, but they always look so formal. Wouldn’t it be fun to see Paco, Polly, and Percival in some goofy sweaters? Using the provisional cast-on and Kitchener stitch, these penguins are assembled easily after knitting a Stockinette stitch square with a few stripes, two wings, two feet, and a tail. Embroider their faces. You can add beads for eyes, but do not add beads if giving to a child.

YARN
1 skein each in #871 White, #815 Black, and #877 White

Like all of the cuddly creatures in this book, Polly, Paco, and Percival can be knit to different sizes by using different yarn weights and gauges. Need it oversized? Use bulky or jumbo yarn. Need it tiny? Try a finer weight. It’s as simple as that.
