INTRO

Page 394 is worked bottom up, in the round, using only one needle for the entire piece. Optional drawstring casing/openings and broom i-cord details add a whimsical vibe to this already-nostalgic pattern. Combining both stranded colorwork and duplicate stitch, we’re able to add all the little details that make this design special.

YARN INFORMATION

Yarns used in sample are all from the Treehouse Knits ‘Coco Collection’. I’ve also used white/natural and black. For the red, yellow, dark blue, and light blue, you’ll need two mini skeins (or around 100 yards of yarn). For each of the other colors, less than one mini skein will do. As far as colors, I used: Alebrije, Dante, Everlasting, Marigold, Carnation, Underworld, Old Soul, and Eternal Life. If you’re choosing yarns from outside of this collection, I would suggest a cool shade of red, a vibrant marigold or even mango yellow, a navy blue without turquoise hints, variegated beige with darker brown speckles, an icy sky blue, a dark chocolate brown, a warm yellow brown, and a variegated purple/blue yarn.
