With lighter weight yarn from Paintbox yarns, this pattern will require one extra row of dc’s around to reach the proper sizing. With yarn such as I Love This Cotton! you will not need to work the extra row.

Any 100% cotton yarn or cotton blend will work for this but the idea is to use cotton so that it absorbs well, washes easily, and is safe on baby’s skin.

Variations of the pattern could be to use a different color for the texture rows.
