Paige's Convertible Mod Scarf
A free version is also available.
One crochet pattern, several ways to wear it!
The Paige Textured Crochet Scarf is a versatile, confidence-building project that combines gorgeous stitch textures with an unusual tapered shape.
Designed using a combination of Bean Stitches, X Stitches and double crochet, this scarf is an enjoyable project for confident beginners looking to develop their crochet skills.
The scarf begins with just a few stitches, gradually increases to create a wider centre section and then decreases towards the opposite end. This clever construction makes it wonderfully adaptable.
Wear it as a traditional scarf, cosy cowl, hooded scarf or shawlette. It’s perfect for chilly days, handmade gifts and making the most of those beautiful yarns you’ve been saving!

The best part about this Mod Scarf? You can wear it so many ways! As a super scarf, as a cowl, as a hooded scarf or hooded cowl, as a shawlette.
I chose cake yarns because they are self striping and I just LOVE Mandala yarn! This could be worked up in any worsted or DK (light weight) yarn.
Finished project will measure about 80” long without tassels or pom poms on the ends.
