Painting Flowers is fun little shawl, that is easy to make and easy to wear.

Shawl is worked sideways with clever shaping which results in long narrow symmetrical tips. Mostly knit in garter stitch with easy short row lace sections (two different techniques, but no wraps to pick).

Pattern has written instructions and charts for flower lace segments.

Instruction are given for 3 colors, but you can also use ombre, gradient, colorful leftovers. You don’t need full skeins, it’s a great stash buster!

Gauge 20 sts x 40 rows - 4” x 4” on US 6 (4 mm) needles.

Sample shawl — 80” x 22”(blocked), worked in Malabrigo Sock (100% superwash merino, which “grows” significantly while wet)

  • MC: Playa 50g (~220 yrds)
  • CC1: Lettuce 16g (~70 yrds)
  • CC2: Light of love 41g (~180 yrds)

Pattern available in two formats: compact (2 pages) and large print (6 pages) - instructions in larger print format ( this version is better for those who uses portable devices like tablets and e-readers; also for those knitters who have difficulties reading small font on paper)
