Worked from the top down, this shrug is an easy knit with a couple of techniques that might be new to you.

German short rows are used to shape the back, and a simple fair isle or mosaic pattern gives a bit of interest to the edging. If you’ve been afraid to try any of these skills before this is a great project to try them out - each is only worked in a small section.

The photographed sample shows the fair isle edging but if you are uncomfortable with steeking you can instead use the mosaic edging pattern which is also included
