Pallokas
by Anna Lillas
The Pallokas (=”Ball-y”) socks are knitted from cuff to toe using leftover yarn. They have a German short row heel and the cuff has a twisted rib stitch. To knit one stripe you’ll need only between 7 to 9 grams of leftover yarn. That means that you can easily use even those small balls of leftover yarn in these socks.
There are three sizes:
EU: 35/36 (38/39) 41/42
US: 5 (8) 11
UK: 2 (5) 9
You’ll need 180-235 meters or 196-255 yards of sport weight yarn and US 2.5 needles.
