This beautiful, relaxed and chic hat has many small details that make it truly unique and a very interesting, though quite easy knit.

The brim/band features ribbing interspersed with tiny cables for interest, folding around to overlap with two buttonholes for adornment with two favourite fastenings.

The hat is then increased to produce a looser, relaxed top with an interesting stitch pattern, maintained throughout the decreases.

The gauge for this hat might seem high, but the eyelet stitch is formed by decreasing to form a little hole and then increasing to decoratively adorn it, so the gauge of 32sts give a relative gauge closer to 24sts per 10cm/4”.
