Panessa is a large crescent-shaped shawl featuring two lace patterns and a slip stitch rib border.

The gently curved shape is achieved with yarn overs. At first, the lace arrow pattern is worked in the middle section, flanked by lace leaves. Then the lace arrow pattern expands and is worked over the whole shawl. Finally, the two colors come together in the slip stitch rib border.

For my sample, I used Cascade Heritage Solids --- 1 skein Dusky Orchid and 1 skein Iris (both appr. 430yds).

Pattern includes written instructions and charts.
