The Pangloss fingerless mitts offer the “best of all possible worlds” with both simple stranded colorwork and cables. The mitts are worked from the bottom up beginning with an easy 2-color target design flanked by garter stitch. The cable and rib pattern for the main portion of the mitt is very stretchy, and the stockinette thumb gusset enables you to wear each mitt on either hand. The cables are reversed for the second mitt for a touch of symmetry. A sport-weight yarn worked at a tight gauge makes for a snug and warm pair of mitts. This pattern coordinates with the Pangloss Hat and if worked together, only 3 skeins of the main color and 1 skein of the contrasting color are required. The colorwork portion is charted and both charts and written instructions are provided for the cable and rib pattern.

Colorwork Gauge is 26st/36rows in 4in on #2(2.75mm) needles
