ABOUT THE GARMENT

The “Pantoffel Socks” are cute, little socks for newborns up to 12 months. Perfect to keep the feet of your precious little one warm while they can’t walk yet. The shape reminds of classic cottage slippers to snuggle into and warm the feet after a long day outside.

SIZE GUIDE

The sizes are for a suggested age of 0-3 (3-6) 6-12 months and suit a foot length of approx. 9 (10.5) 12.5 cm / 3.5 (4) 5 inches

Finished measurements (after washing and blocking):

Sole length: 9.5 (11) 13 cm / 3.7 (4.3) 5.1 inches

Sole width (measured on the widest point): 5 (6) 7 cm / 2 (2.4) 2.8 inches

Height form sole to top: 7,5 (8) 8,5 cm / 3 (3.1) 3.3 inches

SUGGESTED NEEDLES

Double pointed needles 2.5 mm (US 2) for the ribbing

Double pointed needles 3 mm (US 3) for the sock itself

MATERIALS

50 g Mini Alpakka, Sandnes Garn 50 g / 150 m

or

25 g Alva, Filcolana 25 g /175 m

or

50 g Sunday, Sandnes Garn 50 g / 235 m

or

50 g Merino, Knitting for Olive 50 g / 250 m

or any other yarn suitable for needle size 3 mm.

NOTE: you won’t need a whole skein of the above stated yarns for any of the sizes. Therefore, it is also a great leftover project.
