This cushion cover is knitted in 4-ply cotton yarn and takes its inspiration from flying kites, so reminiscent of summers spent on the beach.

The front comprises interlocking diamond shapes in delicious, sweet-shop shades of pink, lilac and peach, knitted in stocking stitch using the intarsia method. The back is a rich, blood-orange colour, knitted in two pieces. The upper back features a diamond border to echo the kite motif on the front and has a ribbed edging, tipped with a contrasting colour. The Paper Kites cover fastens with i-cord ties and is designed to fit a standard 41 cm square cushion pad.

This is a satisfying and surprisingly quick knit, ideal for stash busting! Even though some of the shades used in the original may now be discontinued, close colour alternatives are available. In fact, any 4-ply cotton can be substituted - be bold and choose shades to complement your own colour scheme!
