The PapioCreek Rib Stitch Fingerless Gloves are amazingly comfortable, warm and slightly oversized. I designed these fingerless gloves to be extra long and wide. The fit is more like an oversized comfy sweater…hand sweaters! They cover most of fingers but still allow for easy access to your fingertips. If you find these too long, they are easily folded down on the finger edge, on the wrist edge or both!

Because this pattern uses short rows I would say it is an intermediate crochet pattern.

I suggest using bulky weight yarn (#5) or Aran (heavier wt #4) weight yarn. I used 150m/75g of Hobbii Tweed Delight (wool/acrylic blend)

This stitch combination creates a fabric with thinner textured stripes on one side and thicker textured stripes on the other. There is no right side of the fabric. You get to choose which side you like better, and they can be turned inside out to be reversible.

The PapioCreek Rib Stitch Fingerless Gloves are worked flat and use short rows to create ribbing on the finger edge and the wrist edge. The thumb hole is created while working the body of the gloves and the remainder of the thumb is completed once the gloves have been seamed
