The Bird of Paradise Flower is a dramatic and exotic bloom. The Mango Tango yarn demanded a dramatic sock, and I found it very cheery to knit during a couple of April snowstorms.

Designed for the April Sock Knitters Anonymous Flora & Fauna Challenge, this toe-up sock is mirrored with bold tropical flowers.

The petals are formed by pulling up loops through a yarnover, then working the loops together with stitches above. The stems are formed with slipped stitches and 1x1 cables. The back of the sock and the cuff are ribbed with Wildflower Knot accents.

Yardage approx. 360 (380, 400) yds
