Parallel Universe pattern has been updated on 03.31.15 with additional file that includes instructions and charts for a wider stripe scarf version and optional beaded picot BO instructions.

Parallel Universe is an airy and light scarf. The striking lines of lace and reverse stockinette stitch make for a very engaging pattern that will keep you interested all the way to the last stitch. The scarf only takes 1 skein of fingering weight yarn and is a fast and enjoyable knit.

Finished Size
After blocking, the sample scarf measures 160 cm (63 inches) long and 30 cm (12 inches) wide.

Gauge
The gauge in the lace pattern after blocking measures 16 sts x 20 rows in 10 cm x 10 cm. The gauge in the stockinette stitch after blocking measures 18 sts x 30 rows in 10 cm x 10 cm. Adjust your needle size to suit your yarn and achieve the size and the look of the scarf of your choice.

Fingering / 4 ply, 50% Wool, 50% Silk, 439 yards / 100 grams.
