This blanket is so much fun to knit - it might become your new favorite baby blanket!
It is easy enough for most beginners, but has enough variety to keep the interest of more experienced knitters, too.

The blanket is constructed in 3 panels, which are then joined along their side (vertical) edges.
Each panel consists of 4 squares that are knit seamlessly.
This results in minimal finishing, and great knitting fun.

Pattern includes detailed written instructions for each of the simple textured stitch patterns, made up of knits and purls in a variety of easy combinations; and includes a schematic diagram with stitch patterns/colors for each square.
You can choose to follow the pattern as written, or design your own color scheme.
Each square uses a relatively small amount of yarn (details are included in the pattern), making this a perfect way to use up yarn you may already have in your stash.

Materials include a total of 480 yds chunky weight, and size10 needles are recommended.
Recommended gauge is 3.5 sts per inch in stockinette stitch.
Gauge is not critical, since this is a blanket. It will, however, affect finished size and yarn quantities.

Sample was knit using Berroco Vintage Chunky, 1 skein in each of 4 colors:
#6114/Aster

#6125/Aquae
#6101/Mochi
#6124/Kiwi

Required skills include casting on, knitting, purling, binding off and basic garter stitch seaming.
