Parentheses is a 2-piece accessory set featuring Parenthetical Rib.
Parentheses Hat is a seamless slouchy worked in the round. The hat begins with long 1x1 rib followed by the Parenthetical Rib pattern through body and crown.
A seamless Parentheses Loop is knitted flat back and forth, beginning with a provisional cast-on. Once you have worked the required length you will join the loop with Kitchener stitch or 3-needle BO.
Both items are completely reversible.

Sizing
Hat
One size: to fit an average adult’s head with 56-58 cm / 22-23” circumference.
Length: approx 24 cm / 9.5”.
Infinity Loop
Height: approx 24 cm / 9.5”.
Length: approx 110 cm / 44”.

Yarn
MALABRIGO Rastita: 100% Merino, 310 yards / 100 grams. You will need 2 skeins of yarn to make the set. Sample was made in color #33 Cereza.
Approx yardage for hat: 156 m / 170 y.
Approx yardage for infinity loop: 360 m / 390 y.

Needles
Hat
4.0 mm / US #6 circular needle (40 cm / 16” long) and dpns, or size necessary to obtain correct gauge.
3.5 mm / US #4 circular needle (40 cm / 16” long) or dpns, or 2 sizes smaller than gauge needles.
Infinity Loop
4.0 mm / US #6 circular or straight needle, or size necessary to obtain correct gauge.

Notions
stitch markers, crochet hook (the same size as needle) and scrap yarn for provisional cast-on, tapestry needle for weaving.

Gauge
