• DESCRIPTION: This pattern creates a dainty, feminine fabric. Gently textured and with scalloped edges it would make a great gift for almost anyone. A new mom, a graduate going off on her own for the first time, or a couple who just bought their first house. And it’s large enough it can function as a hand towel!

This pattern is also available as an ad-free PDF in my Ravelry store.

• GAUGE & SIZING:

Gauge (tension) isn’t very important in this project. For reference, my gauge is 5 groups worked in pattern stitch and 8 rows per 4”.

Play around with hook sizes until you find one that makes a fabric you like. This pattern is written to produce a washcloth that is roughly 12 inches by 14 inches. (See note)

ABBREVIATIONS & STITCHES USED:
ch = chain

st = stitch

sp = space

SC = single crochet

DC = double crochet

( ) = everything within the parentheses is worked in the same st or sp

Note: My testers and I had a variation of sizes. The smallest was roughly 9”. If you would like to change the size, simply chain a multiple of 3 and add 1.

• MATERIALS:
About 180 yards of I Love This Cotton Yarn in Lime Dot Print or any #4 cotton or cotton blend.

A 4.0 mm (F) hook

Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Stitch markers if desired.
