The Paris Walk Cowl features three lace motifs inspired by an early May walkabout in Paris. It begins with a provisional cast on which is returned to the needles for a picot edge at the end.

The design of the first motif is inspired by the glass and steel pyramids at the Louvre Museum.

The cowl builds from this pyramid base with a field of flowers evocative of the blooms in the parks and the rose windows in the many cathedrals sprinkled about the city.

A stylization of the arched rose windows seen in both Notre Dame and Sacre Coeur caps off the motifs. The cowl is finished with a picot edge bind off.

The lace motifs are best showcased using a multi-ply yarn with crisp stitch definition.
