Parquet Palette Shawl reminds me of the beautiful wood block flooring design with the colors of an artist’s palette. It has interesting construction, joining panels together as you knit to form a V shaped shawl. It does require some experience with knitting.

The easy lace pattern (written and charted) and the Boreal and Poems yarns, with their progressing color changes, make this an exciting project to watch “grow.” So many combinations of how the colors can be placed for a unique look. The back and the front of the shawl look very different from each other as you can see.

Parquet Palette is shown in Boreal’s bright multi colors. Parquet Palette with Garter Edge is shown in Poems’ pinks, browns, blue and purple.

This shawl definitely requires a natural fiber yarn - wool works so well here - as it requires serious blocking to combat curling edges and open up the lace in the panels.

This shawl can be made larger by adding repeats of the lace pattern.
