These socks are all business in the front, but a party in the back! On the back of the leg a fun and striking lace panel flows out of the twisted ribbing on the cuff and continues down the heel flap. The lace panel is framed by two small columns of purl stitches to really make it pop. Aimed at beginner lace knitters the lace panel is simple to knit. The “Party in the back” socks are knit from the top down and feature a heel flap and gusset construction. Because the foot of the socks is plain stockinette these socks will knit up fast!

The pattern is available in 5 sizes: extra small (with a cast on of 56 stitches), small (with a cast on of 60 stitches), medium (with a cast on of 64 stitches), large (with a cast on of 68 stitches) and extra large (with a cast on of 72 stitches). Finished sock foot circumference is 6” (15 cm), 6.5” (16,5 cm), 7” (18 cm), 7.5” (19 cm) and 7¾” (19,5 cm). Socks are intended to be worn with about 1” (2,5 cm) of negative ease.

The gauge is 9 stitches per inch and 11 rows per inch in stockinette on 2.5 mm (US 1.5) needles.

Sample was knit using Oceans Kreations UK pilgrim base sock yarn in the color Eeyore (400 meters (437 yards)/100 grams; 75% wool/25% nylon). Sample is a size medium and has a 9 inch (23 cm) foot length. The sample pair used 68 grams (272 meters (297 yards)) of yarn.
