Mark your calendar! September 22 is Hobbit Day and there is a party in the shire to celebrate Bilbo and Frodo Baggins’ birthday! The lace stitch pattern mimics the Hobbit Day knit stitch pattern designed by Naomi Parkhurst of Gannet Designs. The cowl begins with a chain and is worked in the round from the center out, in both directions. Optional beads may be added to the edges.

Difficulty Level: intermediate (lace, crossed stitches, optional beads)
