Passage of Time Blanket
Passage of Time blanket is an easy, put down, pick up, project and can be quite addictive and hypnotic. It’s a perfect crochet project for using up scrappy ends and of course for scrappy Sunday activity. The ‘passage of time’ is marked by beginning each new crochet session with a row of plain black, it almost like
journaling with yarn or keeping a diary if you like.
The blanket is almost double crocheted making it a dense and quite thick – depending on the yarn used and the crochet hook chosen. It’s quite fascinating to anticipate how the colours will mix and mingle together. It’s kind of a cross between plain single crochet and linen stitch – a very satisfying tapestry/woven type stitch.
The sample blanket was made using DK yarn with a 4.5mm crochet hook. The blanket can be made using any weight of yarn with the appropriate hook.
