This hat is knit in the round from the bottom up. It’s an easy hat beginning with a traditional 2X2 ribbing, followed by a side braid, then a simple 2 row repeat special stitch until the decrease section. This hat is adult sized and is offered in 2 different sizing. I recommend using a yarn that has a lot of lust and depth, to get the best out of the pattern.

24 stitches and 36 rows = 4” in stitch pattern on size US7 needles

N.B: If you are planning on knitting the set; hat and longer cowl set, make sure you have at least 500 yards available in stash. 2 skeins of Phydeaux Designs Beurre were a tight fit and to make it perfect it would have required an extra 40 yards or so.
