My Pastel Pops pillow is a larger version of my pink ombre pops pillow. It was one of the first patterns I released, and it is still one of my favorites because the popcorn stitches give it a nice texture, and it works up quickly with worsted weight yarn. The pillow was 14 by 14 inches, and I have been waiting to make a larger version of it. Hence, this pastel pops pillow is an 18 by 18 inch granny square pillow with a pastel popcorn center. However, you can use any colors you would like! The back is a traditional granny square, and the bottom of the pillow is held together with five buttons, so the pillowcase can be taken on and off of the insert.
I used one skein of Blue Sky Fibers organic worsted cotton in the following shades: lotus, aloe, lavender, pink parfait, dandelion, shell, and bone. However, any worsted weight yarn will work! You will also need an 18 by 18 in (45 by 45 cm) square pillow insert and 5 buttons (2 cm in diameter). The written pattern includes some pictures to explain the steps. I hope you enjoy the pattern!
