Pastel Stripes Mohair/Silk Sweater

A quick and easy knitting pattern for advanced beginners, with clear instructions, illustrations and tips.

Sweater is worked bottom up on straight and circular needles.

Sweater is boxy shape and slightly oversized.

One size: Large / Extra Large
To fit UK 16/18 or US 12/14

Sweater measurements:
Chest: 62 cm
Length: 66 cm
Sleeve length to shoulder join: 48 cm
Neck opening width: 19 cm
Neck depth at front: 7 cm

Needles:
5.5 mm circular needles for the lower body
5.5 mm straight needles for upper body & sleeves
5 mm circular needle for the neck

Tension:
18 stitches x 23 rows = 10 x 10 cm square in stocking stitch.

Sweater is worked double strand throughout using Drops Kid-Silk yarn or similar (75% mohair / 25% silk – 25 g / 210 m per ball).

Two 25 g balls of White yarn are required.

One 25 g ball of each colour will suffice. I used yarn in 12 colours:
Colour 1: Light green
Colour 2: Dark green
Colour 3: Mid blue
Colour 4: Dark purple
Colour 5: Mid purple
Colour 6: Light purple
Colour 7: Light pink
Colour 8: Dark pink
Colour 9 Dark peach
Colour 10 Light peach
