This toy farm animals knitting pattern is available in the Patchwork Farm Playset knitting pattern, which also includes the blanket and decorative elements to complete the farm play set.

So you can use this blanket from birth to toddler and beyond, the decorations are knitted separately and can be sewn on or added during playtime later when suitable to the child’s age. Included in the pattern are the patchwork blanket knitted in aran yarn, and knitted in DK weight yarns are the decorative elements on the blanket (road, stream, fields, pond and mud wallow), hay bales, and the animals (sheep, cow, goat, pig, donkey, cockerel and chicks, goose, mallard and ducklings, and a sheepdog).

Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, this set is knitted in acrylic yarns. Most pieces are worked flat (back and forth) on a pair of straight single pointed knitting needles, not in the round. The crochet hooks are used to work single crochet chains for the hay bale straps, donkey and cow tails, and sheepdog’s collar. They are also used to add single or double crochet borders to the blanket and some of the blanket’s decorative elements.
