Using a yarn with a long self-striping sequence, you can enjoy the color changes of these join-as-you-go mitered squares without snipping and adding new yarn! It’s all worked in one piece. Let the yarn do the work for you.

Since 2011, I’ve been using mitered squares to make fun projects in a continuous join as you go method. I’ve always used self striping yarn to create the projects because I love creating the illusion of changing colors while letting the yarn do all the work. With this project, which is a remake of a baby blanket I did three years ago, I’ve brought back the single crochet ribbed trim with perfect curved short row corners.
