This is a light and lacy asymmetrical triangular shawl, knit in three colors of fingering weight yarn. However, this could
be an interesting stash buster for those who want to get creative with color. It includes several different stitch patterns/motifs. All are suitable for the beginning knitter, but interesting enough for those with more experience.

The directions are written in short sections to aid those who want to attack their stash of left-over yarn or use a small skein gradient. The pattern is NOT charted.

Materials
Yarn: Cascade Heritage Silk (85% Superwash Wool / 15% Mulberry Silk) Fingering Weight
Total Yardage: MC 77g / CC1 29g / CC2 29g

Needles: US3 (3.25 mm) circular needles

Two stitch markers are also needed

Final measurements of the shawl depends on the yarn and needles used, as well as your gauge and blocking style.

Final Measurements of the two test shawls using Cascade Heritage Silk, after blocking, are as follows:
Sample 1 - Light Version: Wingspan 62” (157.48 cm), Depth 33” (83.82 cm)
Sample 2 - Dark Version: Wingspan 55” (140 cm), Depth 31.5” (80 cm)

Gauge is not critical, but will affect the overall finished size of your shawl. Any weight yarn with the corresponding needle size can be used for those wanting a larger shawl.

Path to the Sea is a “Not So Mysterious” MKAL, meaning that we do have spoiler pictures for those who would like an idea of what the finished object will look like. The first clue will be available on July 28, 2017.
