The Pathways to Hope Beanie was designed as part of the Crochet Cancer Challenge hosted by Sweet Potato 3 Patterns. As a breast cancer survivor myself, this cause is near and dear to me, and so a portion of the proceeds from its sale will be donated to the American Cancer Society to help fund cancer research, patient services, and education.

This hat is made using bulky yarn so that it works up quickly and is nice and warm for the wearer. The hat features loads of texture courtesy of a fun braiding technique that is fully detailed in the pattern.

The hat is US Terms and Intermediate Skill Level, and it is graded for 5 sizes, ranging from 3 years - Adult, and 2 heights: fitted or slouch. Worked flat in turned rows, if you can work basic stitches, you can make this hat!

This PDF has EVERYTHING you might need to make this pattern, including tutorials and linked videos tutorials for the foundation single crochet, the yarn over slip stitch, triple treble crochet, and the braiding technique, as well as supplemental pictures, a stitch chart, and a row tracker!
