This washcloth uses a patriotic yarn with blues, red, and white cottons, but any similar yarn may be substituted (just be sure to swatch!).

The pattern repeats create ridges on the front side of the fabric while keeping a flat surface on the back.

This pattern uses the “third loop” of the hdc. This loop is usually at an angle just below the top loop on either the front or back of the hdc. I use the front third loop throughout the entire pattern.
