ABOUT THE DESIGN

The Patterned Posh Poncho is a cozy and stylish piece of clothing to keep you warm on chilly days. Its unique interlocking crochet technique creates a striking textured effect. It combines comfort with a modern, elegant style.

The poncho consists of two pieces that are joined together. Thanks to the versatile design, the poncho can be worn in two ways. You can wear either the front or the back facing forward, depending on which color you want at the front and back. Worn this way, the poncho has a boat neck (straight neckline). You can also turn it halfway around so that both sides are visible. This way, the poncho has a V-neck style.

THE TECHNIQUE
The poncho is as mentioned made using interlocking crochet. This technique involves two crochet layers in different colors that are interlinked, creating relief patterns.

DIMENSIONS

Each piece, made with the yarn and hook specified below, measures approximately W: 110 × H: 55 cm.

Other types of yarn and colors can be used, which will naturally alter the look and size of the poncho (so will your tension).

The pattern includes a pattern for a swatch. The swatch will give you a good idea of the poncho’s final size and look.

In interlocking crochet, measurements can also be expressed in “windows” (a window is one square in the chart). Each piece of the poncho contains 133 windows in width and 73 in height, i.e., 9,709 windows per piece, or 19,418 windows in total for both pieces.

YARN

The poncho is made with Bio Shetland, 100% GOTS-certified wool.
A 50 g skein has a length of 280 m.
