Paw Paw Socks
I love carrying my love of dogs and training as a canine behaviourist into my knitting patterns. The little paw prints are repeated throughout the design and I have included instructions for a double stitch boomerang heel and a heel flap and gusset heel. The sock using the heel flap and gusset will have a slight break in the colourwork but it does not notice. Choose the heel you are most comfortable with and follow the instructions accordingly.

MATERIALS
Yarn: MC: S (M) L – 44g/ 176m (50g / 200m) 56g / 224m of 4 ply sock yarn based on a size 6 uk foot size, size 8.5 usa foot size , 39 Europe foot size. This includes cuff and toe as an all one colour sock
CC2 cuff and toe: 20g / 80m of 4 ply sock yarn if using a different colour than main sock colour
CC3 paw print yarn : 28g / 112m of 4 ply sock yarn (each row of paws uses 2g/ 8m of yarn
2.25mm circular needles or dpns
2.5mm circular needles or dpns
Any fingering weight sock yarn can be used for this sock pattern. Sample shown is knit in size medium for foot length Europe 39, US 8.5, UK 6, foot circumference 22.5cm / 8.8”.

Sl1pw/kw = Slip one stitch purlwise / knitwise from the left hand needle to the right hand needle.

SMALL - Foot circumference 7-8 inches
MEDIUM - Foot circumference 8-9 inches

Sizes are written in pattern instructions as follows S (M) L . It is helpful to go through the pattern before you start knitting and circle the relevant size whenever there are bracketed instructions and make a note of the chart size corresponding to your size
