Knitted toe up with a simple short row heel.

Written instructions with charted colour work. There is a section at the end of the pattern with hints and tips on knitting stretchy colour work. Instructions are written so that it can be knitted using either magic loop or DPNs.

Sock is knitted by width and instructions give options of matching three different foot lengths to any of the four widths.

Finished foot/leg circumference (approx.)
Slim: 17cm (6 ¾”)
Medium: 20cm (8”)
Wide: 22.5cm (9”)
Extra Wide: 25cm (10”)

Foot length (approx)

Sock is knitted in Dartmoor Yarn Company 4ply Jacob. This is a thick 4ply, so if substituting yarn a sport weight or a thin double knitting would probably be most appropriate. However you should always check your tension, even when using suggested yarn.

Smaller sizes require approximately 50g cream and 75g Brown, while larger sizes require approximately 75g cream and 75g brown.
