Pawpaw Fruit
by Charmin Dahl
Meet the pawpaw, North America’s largest native fruit! Pawpaw leaves serve as the only food source for the zebra swallowtail butterfly.
As a crochet pattern, the pawpaw fruit is great practice for beginners working on “stuffed animal” pieces, while increasing and decreasing stitches and counting stitches.
This pattern is a good stash buster for a variety of green-yellow yarn. Add a face and body parts for a unique amigurumi character!
The fruit itself (body) is about 4.5 inches tall by 3 inches wide.
