Stretchy and comfortable, these handwarmers are a quick knit, ideal for the pet-mad friend or family member for Christmas.

Fits a hand 16-20cm (6.5-8”), measured around the knuckles. They are comfortable on both mine and my husband’s average sized hands. They can easily be upsized by using worsted weight yarn, or made smaller by using sport weight. Change the needle size to create a slightly denser than usual fabric.

The pattern has both charted and written instructions, and includes links to video tutorials for the more unusual techniques.

Choose a solid or semi-solid yarn with a high twist for optimal stitch definition - a variegated yarn is not suitable for this pattern.

4Nov13: Often on patterns I find the caveat that knitters may not sell items made with the pattern. After a lot of thought and research I have decided that I don’t agree with this statement. I don’t believe that the designer has any rights over the finished product, so, if you’re handknitting and you want to sell items made from my patterns - Best of Luck, and Go For It! I think handknitting for a living must be quite a challenge, so you need all the luck I can give you. Of course, my rights DO cover the patterns themselves, so you mustn’t copy or distribute them.
