Notes for knitters:

• Please see my project page for this mitten; I have made far too many project notes!

-One skein of each colour is all you need, though you will use more of the main colour.

-For the most part the floats are only carried over 5 sts maximum so I did not trap them with the MC for the bulk of the mitten. Note in the chart that squares marked with a line through them indicate where to trap the CC in a long run of MC sts.

-One of the trapped floats has not been marked on the chart. On row 8 of the hand chart the centre stitch directly above the top CC stitch of the centre diamond should be marked as a trapped float.

-My colourwork skills are not the greatest! I’d love to see pictures of your mittens when you have finished them.

-This pattern has been posted before I have been able to knit the second mitten because I was experiencing a bout of knitting elbow. Once I have finished the second mitt I will update the pattern, with new pictures, the corrected chart and the addition of row numbers on the chart!

-Please let me know if you have any issues with or suggestions for this pattern, in terms of things you would like clarified or errors I have made.

-I did not give gauge in the pattern but got 6 sts and 6 1/2 rows to the inch. This mitten fits my smallish adult hand. The mitt measures 7 5/8” (19.5 cm) from the wrist (end of cuff) to the tip.
