The Peaceful Prairie Blanket is a reimagining of the classic Prairie Star quilt design. Make it in the earthy colors of the prairie, or as bright and colorful as you dare!

This blanket would make a great wedding gift because the two diamond motifs in the center are intended to represent a bride and a groom coming together in marriage.

Let two colorways of self-striping yarn like Lion Brand Mandala do the work for you while you double crochet. Both the main color and contrast color yarns are carried throughout the blanket in the tapestry crochet style. Hardly any yarn tails to weave in!

Finished size: 50” by 64” (127 by 162.5 cm)

Yarn: dk weight

Main color (MC): 1,400 yards (1280 m)
About 2.5 cakes of Lion Brand Mandala yarn in the Dragon colorway. (100% acrylic; 590 yds/540 m per 150-gram cake).

To make a symmetrical blanket (controlling colors), you will need parts of 4 cakes of Mandala or 2 Bonus Bundles as MC. See Pattern Notes for details.

Contrast color (CC): 1,220 yards (1116 m)
About 2.5 cakes of Lion Brand Mandala yarn or 2 Bonus Bundles of Lion Brand Mandala yarn in the Chewy colorway. The CC yarn was not color-controlled in the sample blanket- go with the flow.
