PEAK REFLECTIONS

Intermediate | DK Weight | Stranded Colorwork | Raglan Construction |Top-Down & Seamless

Peak Reflections is a top-down, seamless sweater featuring a dramatic three-color stranded-colorwork yoke inspired by mountain peaks and their reflections. The graphic motif flows through the raglan shaping before transitioning into a simple stockinette body and sleeves.

The sample combines two smooth DK-weight wool colors with a wonderfully soft and slightly fluffy Suri alpaca/silk contrast, adding both texture and dimension to the yoke.

SKILL LEVEL & TECHNIQUES
Intermediate
This pattern is best suited to a knitter comfortable with:
Knitting in the round
Reading a colorwork chart
Stranded colorwork
Increasing and decreasing
German short rows
Picking up stitches
Basic seamless sweater construction
Ladderback Jacquard is highly recommended as it provides an excellent way of managing those longer floats while maintaining the stretch and appearance of the colorwork fabric.

CONSTRUCTION
Peak Reflections is worked seamlessly from the top down and in the round. The three-color stranded-colorwork yoke incorporates the increases directly into the chart, with four defined raglan lines creating the shaping. Once the colorwork is complete, the body and sleeves continue primarily in stockinette.

The body finishes with a generous 3 in / 7.5 cm ribbed hem, with optional German short-row shaping to create a subtle back hem drop. Sleeves are worked in the round and finished with coordinating 3 in / 7.5 cm ribbed cuffs.

Two neckline options are included: the taller graduated ribbed collar shown in the main sample or an optional shorter crew-style neckline.

The pattern includes written instructions, a full colorwork chart, schematic, eight sizes, two neckline options and optional back-hem shaping.
