I pulled inspiration for Pearl Lace Socks from spring blooming all around me; beautiful running vines, their leaves a gorgeous shiny green. I created the design in part to fulfill the need for a pretty lacy sock that is fully adjustable for a longer or shorter leg length. (Note: The length of leg you choose to knit will determine how much yarn is needed.)

Pearl Lace Socks are fully written out, with both charted and written instructions. The pattern is written to save ink by placing large pictures on their own page. You can print just what you need to knit the pattern.

Pearl Lace Socks are knit top down with a heel flap, and have a lovely leafy lace panel down the front. The back of the socks are 4x1 rib. The foot portion is designed with a negative ease to ensure a great fit. These socks are comfortable to wear and eye-catching. I’m sure you’ll love knitting and wearing these!

I designed these socks specifically for my best friends mother. Miss Pearl is a wonderful woman and I wanted to reflect her kind and giving nature. So the Pearl Lace Socks pattern was born.

YARN:

Any fingering weight yarn that’s approximately 420 yards (400 meters) to 100 grams.

Sample knit in Madelinetosh Twist Light, Fingering/4 ply weight (75% Merino, 25% Nylon, 420 yards (400 meters) per 100 gram hank). Colorway is Chattahochee.

NEEDLE:

3 US (3.25 mm).

I’m not designating whether to use double pointed, circular, or magic loop methods. The pattern is written with a front of sock and a back of sock. Please use whatever method is most comfortable for you.

NOTIONS:

Removable stitch markers (optional), Scissors, Tapestry needle, Tape measure, Sock blockers (optional).

SIZES:

Women’s S, M\L. TO FIT WOMEN’S FOOT

Small: US 6.5–8.5, UK 4.5–6.5, EU 37–39 (actual foot length 9-9.5”, 23-24.6 cm), approximately 7.5” (19 cm) foot circumference.

Medium/Large: US 9–11, UK 7–9, EU 40–42 (actual foot length 9.5-10.5”, 25-26.6 cm), approximately 8.75” (22 cm) foot circumference.
